Use the correct finish description
Decorative nickel-chromium coating is an appearance-led system. It should be distinguished from functional hard chrome selected for working surfaces, wear or dimensional restoration.
Specify the appearance and material
Share the substrate, required bright or satin appearance, component geometry and reference finish. The coating layers and preparation influence the result and should be agreed with the supplier.
Confirm service conditions
Specify indoor or outdoor use, handling, corrosion exposure and any customer test requirements. A polished appearance alone does not establish wear performance, coating life or corrosion-test results.
Care for the specified finish
Follow the component supplier guidance for cleaning and compatible products. For a DVS enquiry, use the nickel-chrome or satin-finish service routes and provide clear part photographs.
