Separate management systems from the part
ISO 9001 certification concerns a quality management system within a defined scope. It does not certify each component or guarantee perfect conformity.
Check process accreditation separately
Nadcap accreditation concerns defined critical processes in the aerospace supply chain. Its scope and validity should be checked separately from customer approval and the acceptance criteria for a specific part.
Request relevant evidence
Review the current certificate, issuing body, covered facility, process scope and validity. Inspection results and component documentation remain separate evidence of what was supplied.
Keep DVS claims evidence-led
This article explains the distinctions; it does not claim a DVS ISO certificate, Nadcap accreditation or aerospace customer approval. Share the base material, component drawing, working area, dimensions, coating requirement and inspection criteria. Suitability and the finishing route must be agreed for the actual component.
