Use traceable technical information
Process discussions should identify the working surface, coating requirements and evidence. This article is general guidance, not a transcript of a named pioneer interview.
Clarify the bath and coating system
Conventional hard chrome plating uses hexavalent chromium bath chemistry. Specialised functional trivalent processes are also commercially available. Availability does not establish widespread adoption, equal performance for every application, or the bath chemistry used at DVS.
Check the practical effect of a change
Evaluate the material, coating allowance, adhesion, required surface finish and relevant service tests before describing one process as equivalent to another.
Keep capability claims specific
Share the base material, component drawing, working area, dimensions, coating requirement and inspection criteria. Suitability and the finishing route must be agreed for the actual component. Research and supplier products do not establish that DVS operates a particular process or has achieved a reported customer outcome.
