Separate tooling wear from electrical-contact performance
Hard chrome is a surface treatment used on suitable engineering components for wear resistance, friction control and dimensional restoration. Those mechanical requirements are different from the electrical requirements of a connector or circuit board.
For an electronics manufacturing job, identify the actual part first: a production shaft, guide or tooling surface may need a wear-resistant finish. A conductive contact or circuit-board pathway needs a coating selected for its electrical function. Hard chrome should not be specified simply on the assumption that it improves conductivity.
What to send for component review
Share the component drawing, base material, working surface, existing damage, finished dimensions and required surface finish. State whether the part carries electrical current or is used mechanically in production equipment. Coating suitability and inspection requirements should be reviewed for that application.

Hard chrome mechanical applications and MacDermid Alpha electronics materials and metallisation provide separate process contexts. These references do not establish DVS capabilities or acceptance of a specific job.
