Match the alternative to the requirement
A coating alternative should be chosen around the working surface, material, dimensions and service environment. An alternative is not automatically equivalent or environmentally preferable.
Understand electroless nickel
Electroless nickel deposits through a controlled chemical reduction process without an externally applied deposition current. Heating, pumps and other facility operations can still use electricity. Its chemicals and waste still require assessment and control.
Ask specific questions about PVD and CVD
Ask a specialist supplier about the exact coating composition, deposition conditions, part geometry, temperature limits and adhesion requirements. These names cover different systems and do not establish suitability for every part.
Compare evidence and availability
Share the base material, component drawing, working area, dimensions, coating requirement and inspection criteria. Suitability and the finishing route must be agreed for the actual component. This overview does not establish that DVS offers PVD or CVD. Compare actual process data and whole-process impacts rather than treating every alternative as harmless.
