Conductive surfaces and mechanical surfaces have different jobs
A coating for an electrical connector or circuit board must be selected around electrical performance and the product specification. Circuit-board metallisation commonly uses copper processes to establish conductive pathways. This is different from industrial hard chrome used for mechanical wear surfaces.
Review the part and specification
For a contact, identify the substrate, contact conditions and required electrical properties. For a production-tooling component, identify the wear surface, operating conditions, final dimensions and inspection requirements. Share the drawing and coating specification before selecting a service.
DVS enquiries are reviewed through its Pune plants. This article does not advertise PCB metallisation or electrical-contact plating as a confirmed DVS capability.
