Jewellery and visible accessories are appearance-led applications. Their requirements should be distinguished from functional hard chrome on industrial wear surfaces.
Identify the coating stack and substrate
Nickel and nickel-chromium finishes are established decorative coating families. The actual material, coating layers, appearance and durability requirements must be specified for the item.
Check skin-contact requirements
A bright finish does not establish skin-contact suitability or compliance with restrictions relevant to the product and market. Request the required test and material evidence rather than inferring suitability from the process name.
